This listing is for a set of Six (6) 4 inch tall x 1/2” base ***Real Bayberry Wax Unscented MINI tapers in a muslin bag. ***.

If purchasing more than one listing set, each set of 6 is packaged in its own muslin bag.

MINI tapers are a SCALED DOWN version of a traditional taper. They are hand made to be about 1/4 the size of a full standard taper.

MINI tapers are hand dipped using a specially made dipping tool to a height of just 4” tall. The base of the short dipped candles is approximately 1/2” wide. The whole dimension of the candle is proportionally Smaller than standard size taper. They are NOT full size tapers cut to 4”, and they will not fit into a full size taper holder.

My Real Bayberry Wax Unscented Taper Candles are made of true bayberry wax, not bayberry colored or bayberry ‘scented’ paraffin or other substitute. Real bayberry wax has very little smell of it’s own. Like all other Natural Waxes real bayberry wax will not “throw” to perfume a room like scented candles.

* I do not add artificial fragrance to my bayberry tapers. * they are unscented to follow the ages old tradition.

Typical burn time is 1-.5 - 2 hours depending on length of wick and temp of your home.

Get the most from your candles. Burning tips-please read:
1) drafts = drips. Keep out of drafts. If your candle does not burn evenly, or begins to drip it is in a draft, even if you can’t feel it. Dipped candle wicks are naturally centered in the wax. ceiling fans, heating / air conditioning ducts, entry ways, etc are all sources of drafts. A draft will force the flame off center and create wax spill.

2) stay home and enjoy your candle. do not light your candle and leave. Keep within sight. Why? See #1.

3) trim that wick. 1/4” is the recommended starting length.

4) keep away from flammables. Say No to burning near curtains, wooden candle holder decor, dried flower/pine needle candle rings, etc.

5) resist the urge to move a burning candle. It creates a draft and can start a spill.

6) put something between your candle and your favorite table cloth. A plate, cookie sheet, etc, will save heirlooms from accidental spills due to #1, #5.

Sometimes a full size taper is too much. When you need about 2 hours of bright candle light these are just perfect. Since they are made of bayberry and beeswax, they are naturally dripless (keep out of drafts for the best burn.)

Following old New England Customs, burn one from top to bottom on a special occasion, or holiday eve such as Christmas Eve or New Years Eve for health, wealth and good fortune. These are small enough to burn on every holiday eve to hedge your luck.
