There is a bead design in the polymer clay world called a Natasha Bead and named after artist Natasha Flechsig. This technique is fun, simple and produces beautifully intricate designs. This whimsical beetle is created in that way. I also used a little Pearlex Powder for the shiny area and wire for the legs and antennae. Tiny dabs of acrylic paint are added to the antennae and it has Swarovski crystal for the eyes.

The tabletop wood frame measures approximately 6”x 6” with a 3.75” x 3.75” opening. The beetle measures approximately 2.75” x 1.75” x 1.375”.
