PATTERN INFORMATION
+ Your PDF purchase includes written instructions and helpful photographs to aid in construction.
+ The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology.
+ The pattern is formatted to have one featured image at the beginning of the pattern for reference, important images for construction within the pattern, and all other full-sized images at the end for easy, optional printing.

SKILLS NEEDED
+ The skill level needed is intermediate (but ambitious beginners are always encouraged to try!).
+ The techniques you will need to know include: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, increase, invisible decrease, regular single crochet decrease, double crochet decrease, half double crochet, bobble, working in the back bar of the chain, and the adjustable (magic) ring (optional).

MATERIALS NEEDED
+ To complete the Santa Gnome you will need: yarn in your choice of colors (about 189 yds/173 m total of worsted/aran and about 38 yds/35 m of fur yarn), a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, stuffing, pins, and scissors.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
+ In the sitting position without the hat, the Santa Gnome measures approximately 4.5 inches/11.4 cm. Sitting with the hat measures approximately 7 inches/18 cm with a bent hat and 10 inches/25 cm with a straight hat (not including the legs).
