A beautiful Victorian Whitby Jet brooch with a chunky domed front and finely carved scrolling detail in high relief. The brooch measures around 4.5 cm in oval form and has a strong Art Nouveau feel with its flowing, organic pattern. Fitted with its original brass pin and screw‑mounted hinge, showing only light age wear to the back and none visible when worn. A striking and genuine piece of Whitby Jet jewellery from the late 19th century, ideal for collectors or period costume. Sold as found.
