This ornate, filigree-like construction is made of snowflake-gears in different sizes and styles, laser-cut from cardboard and painted in a variety of metallic finishes.

One blogger described this design as "elegant yet hardcore," which is a great way to summarize Steampunk in general. And since we wouldn't have Christmas as we know it without Charles Dickens and Queen Victoria, perhaps Christmas and Steampunk go together like Halloween and Gothic.

This tree topper is 9.5" from tip to tip and would look great on a fairly large tree. A set of three coordinating ornaments is available too.

My gears are laser-cut from upcycled corrugated shipping boxes and finished with metallic spray paint, but most people think they're wood or metal until I show them the edges.

The indoor paint booth is not currently available, so all painting is done outdoors and is subject to delay for wet or chilly weather. Industrial hammered paints are particularly finicky and the best finish may not be possible between November and April.

Gear ornaments will be wrapped in tissue, zip bags, and bubble wrap for shipping.
