Vintage 1970s brown sheer long sleeve orange and gold sequin women's top. Featuring horizontal stripes of large flat round orange and gold sequins alternating with rows of gold beads sewn onto the top. Zips up the center of the back with a metal zipper.
It does not appear worn as the original Saks Fifth Avenue price tag is still attached. The red price tag is a punch tag. This type of price tag was used from the 1950s to 1970s as early method for keeping track of inventory.
The price tag shows that the top was originally priced at $298 and later marked down to to $196 and then $149. For reference, $150 in 1975 would be worth about $700 in today's dollars so this would have been a high end luxury item of clothing.
Condition
The top has a couple of small holes near the neckline on the front and back but in otherwise very good condition. All of the sequins are intact and the zipper works properly.
Sizing
Top has a US size 10 label but vintage sizes are not the same as modern sizes on women's clothing. The size numbers have gotten smaller so a vintage size 10 would be more like a size 6 today. Please see measurements below for an accurate fit.
