This is vintage Onion Skin typewriter paper by the worlds first maker of typing paper, Southworth. This is delightfully elegant with cockle texture finish. A medium worthy of your poem, prose, letter when what you put words on makes them even more meaningful.

I am adding two other choices to this listing today. They are Eatons Berkshire and Millers Falls. These are two other companies that made typing paper in Massachusetts like Southworth.. Choose which brand you want and how much .
I can do a mix of the different brands as all are nice high quality papers, but have their own attributes.

Although most vintage typewriters will write on anything you can feed through it there are a few reasons to use vintage typewriter paper. First of all it was designed for that purpose, and is treated to display your machines' ink to the best advantage. There is actually a optimum side of typing paper on which to write. That is the side that the watermark can be read in proper orientation.Second there is great diversity of weights textures and shades that adds to the creative process. Third there is also the archivability of cotton content paper which most, but not all typing paper is, usually 25, 50, 75, or 100% cotton. It is a general rule of thumb that each percent of cotton content translates to one year of archivability with no affect on what has been inked on it. So yes you can write on most anything, but you can also write on a computer , and they last 5 maybe 10 years? Beyond that it is just totally cool to see what you can create in this way, and send an amazing letter, or see your prose and poems presented beautifully.Finally though designed for typing, this paper can be used of any application demanding high quality paper. Use your fountain pen or calligraphy brush, I have even used to do alternative process photographic prints such as palladium.

I found it a bit expensive.

Whether typing, writing with a fountain pen or doing calligraphy, paper matters. This wonderful paper is for older folks a nostalgia fest and for younger ones, a magic carpet ride into the past. Sometimes it pays to think before one writes.
