These unique hanging bike decorations are handmade in Kisumu, Kenya. Made by a fair trade workshop which Zuri Design has worked with since 2009.
We love the recycled products from Kisumu which makes use of a number of waste materials.
Copper wire is used to make the frame.
The string is made from water hyacinth, which is a weed choking Lake Victoria. Zingari are experts in using this weed to make hand crafts and clear the water.
This product supports employment in Kisumu which is in Kenya. The group employs marginalised community members such as single mothers.
