VEGAN SHAMAN DRUM ADVANTAGES:

1) 100% vegan instrument
For many people, the fact that no animal product is utilised in our drums is an important consideration. We have been building goat skin drums since 2009, but later realised that vegan instruments are not only more practical, but also easier for the spirit.

2) Sound
Sincerely, for us, the sound from a plastic membrane is just as deep and sometimes even deeper than that from a goatskin drum. The sound is deep and low, which makes it very good for healing sessions, meditation, and sound massage.

– check out the sound here for two of our instruments during a short sound massage session.

3) Stable and consistent sound at any temperature
Now you don’t have to worry about temperature changes. In contrast to goatskin drums, which are susceptible to weather and humidity, the vegan membrane stays much more stable. This makes the drum more comfortable and practical to keep and play.

4) Weight
Despite its large size, the drum is relatively light for such an instrument. It is comfortable to play for long periods and practical for transport.

5) Water-resistant
Every drummer or shaman musician knows the problem of rain, fog, or damp conditions outdoors. With this vegan membrane, you do not have to worry so much about water affecting the instrument.

6) Tuning
The vegan drums we build have a well-thought-out and well-made tuning system that is also very simple to use. You can make the sound lower or higher as you wish, to a precise note.

– how to use the tuning system in our vegan drums.

7) Oval shape
This drum is not round — it is a large oval King Drum, and that should be clear immediately. The oval body gives it a distinctive visual character and feel in the hands, making it stand out from standard round frame drums.

8) Design options
We can make vegan shaman drums in different designs using beautiful and stylish printed artwork. In this listing, you can choose from 3 design options: Astral Fire Drum, Nebula Dance Drum, and Flame Portal Drum.

WHO THIS DRUM IS FOR:

This drum is large, visually striking, and has a beautiful deep sound, so it can be used by different people in different ways:

1) For meditation, sound healing, and spiritual practice
It is wonderful for meditations, sound massage, healing sessions, and spiritual work.

2) As a meaningful gift
It makes a beautiful and unusual gift for a musician, spiritual practitioner, yoga teacher, or anyone who loves special handmade instruments.

3) For jamming and intuitive music-making
This vegan shaman drum is an exceptional tunable frame drum with a wide sound range. You can play it with the beater, with your fingers, or however you like to experiment.

4) For outdoor use and festivals
It is practical for travel, relatively lightweight for its size, and more resistant to weather changes than natural skin drums.

5) For the home, studio, or workshop space
It works both as a powerful instrument and as a beautiful decor object.

MATERIALS OF THE DRUM AND WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SET:

the wooden frame part of the drum is made from multiple layers of veneer;

the handle is fixed within the rope, giving the possibility for the entire body of the drum to vibrate — this is important in making a deeper sounding drum;

for the membrane, we use a special kind of plastic that we selected after testing many different types;

a stick for playing (shaman beater) is included in the set, made from wood; for the soft material, we use faux fur, so it is also vegan;

the small metal tuning hex key is included in the set too.

The specific drum that you see in the photo may already have been sold. However, we can make the same drum again. Of course, due to the availability of raw materials, there may be small differences from drum to drum, such as the colour of the drumstick or small side details. However, the main things — the oval wooden drum body, size, build quality, and sound character — remain stable characteristics of the instrument.

All the work is done to a professional level and with great care.

For any questions regarding the details of the drum, please message us and we can discuss any small nuances before sending the instrument.

Be happy!
