I’m not sure there is anything cuter than an animal hat! Ok, maybe a baby wearing one. You don’t have to make yours in black and white. Brown and white would be cute too. Or, any two colors in the rainbow. A two tone in cream would be perfect for the modern mom who likes a neutral.

Perfect on any little munchkin or toddler noggin.

Size: newborn (1-6 mos, 6-12 mos, 1-2 yrs, 2yrs and older)

Soft acrylic yarn will make it easy to machine wash, gentle cycle, tumble dry low or lay flat to dry.

Materials:
*Caron Simply Soft worsted weight (4) 366 yds/334 meters 7ozs/198grams each.
One skein in black and one skein in white. Any worsted weight yarn will work. You can make a whole herd of zebra hats with all this yarn!
* US size 7 circular needles 16”
* US size 7 double pointed needles. You will need 4.
* Tapestry needle
* Stitch marker
* Black feather clip. You can find them at Hobby Lobby or Michael’s.

This is an advanced beginner or better pattern. You will need to know the knit stitch, knit 2 stitches together, make one, joining another color yarn, knitting in the round on double pointed needles.
