Highlights
This beautiful little pin is like a miniature paperweight mounted in a brass setting. It's carved from behind and reverse painted. It looks like a lustrous greyish mother of pearl background behind the basket of flowers. There are tiny flowers of blue, fuchsia, white and pink. On either side of the basket are garlands of deep fuchsia, tipped with tiny green leaves. It looks much more 3-D and even more beautiful in person.
This little brooch measures 1 3/8 in. by 3/8 in. It has a c clasp which is a little tight to close, but it holds securely this way. There is no corrosion of the brass and the pin is unmarked. The glass has a tiny chip on one edge and a couple minor surface scratches- no cracks. Not bad for over 100 years old. Beautiful little piece of the past.
