A very handsome typewriter! It's in excellent condition and a wonderful typing machine! Ideal for active writers, authors, screenwriters, or someone who enjoys getting on their typewriter all the time.
1A Series: Black gloss flat top typewriters are getting harder to find, especially in great working condition!
A new ribbon is installed. It has metal spools and we've wound ribbon on it so you're getting enough extra that it's like getting a free spool of ribbon! We've tested everything and it's ready to go!
Comes with the original case but is missing the handle and in rough condition. That being said, it is still solid enough to protect your typewriter when you are not using it - or for display.
It has the original black glass keys and the keystroke is really smooth. Definitely a working typewriter and can handle your regular writing projects!
The high gloss black finish is in really good condition but it does have a few very small chips here and there that are barely perceptible. Please view the photos and video we have available to you.

We realize there are many individuals/shops out there selling non-working typewriters for the same price as one that has been serviced or restored/refurbished. We want to remove some of the uncertainty of purchasing a vintage item so we are now offering a 6-month warranty.
> This covers WEAR & TEAR AND OPERATIONAL ISSUES FROM THE COURSE OF EVERY DAY USE.
>The warranty does NOT cover damage such as being dropped, spills, or other misuses.
>It also does NOT cover scratches, dents, dings, metal parts that are bent, broken plastic, lost parts, etc.
>This warranty covers mechanical issues such as a draw band breaking, typing issues, stuck keys, or other mechanical issues not a result of improper use.
>Any attempt to repair the typewriter on your own VOIDS the warranty.
To use the warranty: Contact us via Etsy messaging within 6 months of the recorded delivery date of your typewriter. Some issues we can resolve over the phone. If we need to work on it in person, return the typewriter to us (insured) and we will repair the typewriter at no cost and ship it back to you at our cost.
(Note: We can help you get a discounted shipping label when you initially ship the typewriter TO us for repair. Again, we cover the cost of returning the typewriter BACK to you.)
The warranty goes into effect on the date we show the package being delivered. Your typewriter will arrive with warranty instructions in the box. An extra ribbon for your typewriter is automatically included with the warranty and will be shipped with your typewriter. (excludes Coronomatic Cartridges).
