~APPLE CIDER DOUGHNUT CARDIGAN~

This cozy, classic cardigan is the perfect layer to throw on all year round. Knit in a worsted weight wool, it's enough to keep you warm on its own in the fall and spring, and the slim design makes it easy to slip under a jacket or coat in the winter. The waffle stitch adds texture to make the cardigan interesting and fun to knit.

Pattern Notes:
This drop-shoulder cardigan is worked flat in pieces and seamed together using mattress stitch. Each piece features a waffle stitch, and the front panels include a 1x1 rib border that is continued into a small collar that is joined at the back.

Yarn:
Knitpicks Wool of the Andes Worsted (100% Peruvian highland wool; 100 yd / 50 g). Shown in the color “Amber Heather”.

Needles:
US 8 (5mm) straight or circular needles, or size to obtain gauge

Gauge:
19 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10cm in waffle stitch pattern (knit flat), blocked
