Seller's description

Wonderful antique summer dress from the late 1890s to very early 1900s in excellent condition. I believe it's cotton batiste, just semi-sheer. Small lavender polka dots throughout. High neck and trimming with a floral motif. The skirt section has 3 tiers. Lace edging on the end of the sleeves.

All measurement taken with the dress lying flat:

Bust is 29 inches, with room in the front for the breast - typical full front Victorian bodice.
Waist is 20 inches
Hips open to 41 inches.
Shoulder seam to seam is 14 inches.
Sleeve is 14-1/2 inches long
Length from the shoulder to the top of the waistline is 14-3/4 inches.
Length is 51 inches from the shoulder.

Pin tucking and gathering in the bodice front and back and below the waist. Buttons down the back, though the original buttons are missing. I purchased vintage buttons and replaced them. A 2 inch vertical repair in the back of the left shoulder, see detail photo of the back. A small threaded opening by right of one of the lower buttons.

Wonderful condition considering the age.
