• STEP 3 (FAST DESIGN MOCKUP): We will send a digital mockup of your engraving via Etsy Messages within 24 hours of purchase.

* PLEASE NOTE: Please respond within 24 hours to approve your proof so we can meet our estimated processing times! If we don’t hear back, we will attempt to reach you via email. If we still do not hear back 24 hours after the email, we will proceed with the personalization exactly as requested to ensure your heirloom arrives on time.

• STEP 4 (SHIPPING): After receiving your design approval, we fabricate your box start-to-finish in our workshop and then ship it in discreet packaging, typically a plain white poly mailer with no indication of what's inside.

We are Melissa and Jiun, a Los Angeles-based couple who cut, engrave, and assemble every piece in our workshop, made to order. The word "Wanderweg" means "hiking trail" or "path" in German. We got engaged while hiking a "wanderweg" in the Swiss Alps, which inspired us to craft our very first pocket-sized, travel-friendly ring box. We are honored to play a small part in your path together.

**Please note that each box will be unique and may vary from the photos, as there are natural variations in the wood grain and color. Walnut can vary from a light brown to a dark brown tone and engraves a dark brown. Engravings on Walnut can appear more subtle with a dark brown engraving on dark brown wood. Purpleheart can also appear more subtle with a dark purple engraving on dark purple wood. If you prefer an engraving with contrast we recommend Mahogany as it engraves almost black on a medium tone wood. Cherry and Maple also have good contrast in the engraving and wood tone. Engravings on Oak can appear striped with bands of dark and light engraving as the different gain lines engrave differently.
