These food coloring paint palettes from the Cookie Countess are perfect to go with your Paint Your Own (PYO) Cookie Kits! Save yourself the hassle of making your own palettes. I've been there and will never go back! Purchasing these is a huge time-saver.
The colors paint beautifully and are surprisingly vibrant. Just dampen paint brush with water and use the colors as you would watercolors.
You can use paint palettes on cookies that have been simply flooded in white icing - like I do! Or you can use stencils with royal icing. (Do not use air brush colors with stencils. It will smudge terribly when people paint with the palettes.) Or you can pipe a design outline on top of the base.
No need to purchase a whole array of different paint palette colorways that you might not sell. All you really need are the basic colorway. Primary, Rainbow, Pastels and Brights palettes are all you really need and are the smart choice for every occasion! (All available in my shop.)
This listing is for the Bright Colors (6 colors: dark blue, purple, light blue, yellow, orange, and pink) - Pouch of 12 palettes - $7.50.
Colors on the palette are brighter than they will be after painting.
You'll find other colorway options in my shop.
Leave palettes in pouch or zip top bag to avoid moisture when not in use.
Use care when opening the pouch with scissors as not to cut palettes.
Primary palette is 3.25” x 3.25”, color square are 1.25 x .875".
How many paint palettes do you need per cookie kit? I like to include one with each cookie. But how far do they actually go? I've used just one palette to paint about 20 cookies! Kids tend to use more paint and might not want to share palettes so I do recommend one per kit.
How to package PYO cookie kits? I put the palette and brush in a cello bag together. Heat-seal or tape that bag closed. Put that bag into another, larger, cello bag with the cookie. The bag in a bag protects the paint palette from butter and moisture.
Other supplies you might need that are also available in my shop....
Small paintbrushes.
PME black pearls. I drop these in for eyes because they're difficult to paint on.
Mini markers! These are sooo fun to add to your kits. They can add details after the paint has dried.
