Highlights
Qalam Tumar – Bamboo Qalam for Large Arabic Scripts (Jaly)
This Qalam Tumar is crafted specifically for large-scale Arabic calligraphy (Jaly), where ink flow, nib stability, and hand control matter more than ornament.
Made from high-grade Indonesian bamboo, each nib is selected from bamboo that is fully dry, dense, and structurally strong. Because the bamboo contains no residual moisture, ink does not seep into the fibers, allowing for clean lines and consistent flow.
To support large lettering, this qalam is prepared with 3–5 ink channels, adjusted precisely to the nib width. This prevents rapid ink depletion while maintaining steady saturation across broad strokes.
Every qalam is carefully cut, aligned, and finished by hand. We guarantee precision in nib shaping, cleanliness of the cut, and overall finishing quality.
The handle design is the result of long-term testing. Diameter, length, and balance are optimized for comfort during extended sessions. A gold ring detail is added at the end of the handle, providing subtle elegance without affecting performance.
This qalam requires no special cutting or advanced maintenance:
Avoid drops or hard impact, as wide nibs are more vulnerable to chipping.
Wipe the nib with a damp tissue after use to prevent ink buildup.
Material quality directly influences stroke consistency, hand comfort, and working focus—especially in large-format calligraphy.
