These beautiful cotton yarn dyed fabrics, designed by Pepper Cory for Studio E fabrics, are called shot cottons. This means that the warp threads and the weft threads are two different colors which creates a fabric with visual depth, variation, and interest. Yarn dyed fabrics are heavier than traditional quilting cottons and have more drape and body, making them a wonderful choice for sewing clothing! The surface is smooth, very soft, and I can imagine skirts, dresses, men's and women's tops, and lots of adorable children's clothes. As a quilt this fabric is a step up- never stiff or scratchy, a bit heavier and softer with a slight sheen, it will give you a quilt that will look and feel high quality.

Wrong fabric received. I ordered Moss & got jungle instead. Plus the ship time took ages.

Hi there- I am sorry you received a fabric color you weren't expecting! I wish you had sent me a message about it. I actually do not stock the color "moss" and never have, so I'm not sure how this mix up happened. The listing you purchased shows the color name- in this case "Jungle" and several photos. Shipping times do vary based on the amount of orders I have to process, but your order was shipped within the time frame stated on the listing. I am a one woman show and at times it takes me the full amount of time to process orders.
