Dimensional, glittering Star Wars art piece constructed through bead embroidery and wire crochet. The Millenium Falcon is my favorite starship of all time, and each detail from the cockpit to the satellite dish to the hyperdrive was lovingly considered as I stitched this piece.

Built from a thick interfacing and felt backdrop, beads were added a stitch at a time: Japanese and Czech glass, Czech crystal, pyrite and smoky quartz are included. The satellite dish is crocheted from silver wire. This piece is very sturdy and thick, offering the eye multiple angles to enjoy with lots of small, sparkly details.

The body of the starship measures roughly 8 x 6 inches. The blue hyperdrive exhaust adds about 6 more inches to the length, making the total length about 14”.

I have mounted it on black glitter felt in an 8.5 x 11” frame. The piece is stitched in securely enough to never fall off, but easily removed by removing the back of the frame and snipping a few non-structural threads if a different mounting/framing situation is desired.

I take pride in making jewelry and artwork that can stand up to normal wear. Unless otherwise specified, all jewelry can be safely washed with warm water and a mild dish soap, or rubbing alcohol pads can be used to restore the shine of stones and crystals; metals can be gently polished with a polishing cloth to restore luster. Wall art should generally be dusted with a soft cloth dampened with water only. Alcohol pads gam be used to de-grease larger beads and stones. I do not recommend any kind of metal dip cleaners, as they will remove the hand-oxidation I apply to many of my pieces.
