This is our wonderful new silicone mold to make a tea light holder. It has been specially designed with an inbuilt space for the tea light candle which suits a wide range of candle types. Casting your own tea light holders is fun and economical! Make many with reusable molds!

Dimensions of tea light holder when taken out of mold:
Width and Depth at widest points 11cm / 4.3 inch
Height 3.8cm / 1.5inch
Void space for candle - 1.6 inches wide, .8 inch deep. Will fit standard size tea light candles and battery candles.

* NOTE - This mold is thick. Slits can be cut in the edges of the mold to ease de-molding. This won't effect the casting. PLEASE don't purchase if you are not prepared to do this.

Casting your own tea light holder is easy!

If using Ultracal 30 a data sheet is available with mixing quantities on our website available for download - www.happydottingcompany.com

The Process -

You will need to purchase the casting powder separately. (Sorry I don't sell it) Many casting plasters work well and I like using Ultracal 30 (highest strength gypsum - it is harder, heavier and better for painting than plaster of paris) - available online in most parts of the world. Sorry I don't sell it.
If you are in Australia or NZ - an alternative is Casting Plaster from Bunnings. Please see the pinned post on my FB page for alternatives in different parts of the world.

Mix the casting powder with water following the directions provided with the mixture.
Pour into the molds.
Wait approximately 6 hours or overnight.
This is the fun bit! - Turn out of the mold. It comes out beautifully smooth!
Allow to dry properly for about a week depending on climate.
So much joy painting it!!
