Description: Unusual vintage dress from the 1950s. Light green base, covered with tons of little dots in shades of blue, brown, and green. Over that print is small silver dots here and there. And then over that is a print of butterflies and leaves in shades of black, blue, brown, yellow, and silver. The drop waistline is diagonal at both front and back. The full skirt gathers along that diagonal seam. Neckline is wide. Sleeves appear to be between 3/4 and bracelet length. Fastens at the side with a metal zipper. Unlined. No pockets.
Any condition issues or flaws to note?: Looks very nice. I don't see any issues. No spots, stains, holes, tears, fading, etc. No odors.
Material: No noted. A woven synthetic. If I had to guess I'd say it's acetate. Has a light sheen to it. Dry clean.
Brand/Label: None. Appears to be handmade, but done very well.
Any hang tags still attached?: No.
Size Marked: None.
Measurements:
Bust/Chest: 36"
Waist: 27"
Hips: full below diagonal drop waist line
Length: 46"
Sleeve length (seam to end): 19.25"
Shoulder width (seam to seam across back): 16.5"
Measurements for bust/chest, waist, and hips are taken across front and doubled. If there is any stretch to the fabric or if there is elastic I will note it. Dress form measures about 33-24-34 so items larger than that are usually pinned at the back. You MUST use the measurements given to determine fit and/or compare to a similar item you may already own. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you if an item will fit you or how it compares to your favorite label. Thanks!
