CHOOSING YOUR WOOD
• Olive Wood: very hard and heavy, with a tight swirling grain. Our most durable choice.
• Black Hardwood: jacaranda hardwood darkened by smoking for a deep black finish; medium hardness.
• Mahogany: medium-hard and stable, warm brown; also offered painted.
• Eucalyptus Wood: blue gum: hard and strong, pale to reddish tone.
• Neem Wood: medium-hard, pinkish brown, naturally insect-resistant.
• Mango Wood: medium hardness, warm tones with a lively grain.
• Palm Wood: hard, fibrous grain with a striking speckled look.
All woods are hand carved and hand finished in Kenya. Choose yours in the wood option at checkout.
CARE
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Every few months, rub in a little beeswax or furniture oil to keep the grain rich. Keep away from radiators, fireplaces and long hours of direct sun, and never soak in water. Natural wood adjusts to a new climate; fine hairline movement is normal and a light oiling helps.
