Celtic collars and leads can be hand washed at 30 degrees ( a non bio is best for retaining the colour of the collar ) place inside a sock in the washing machine to avoid entanglement at no more than 30°, dry metal fixings thoroughly with a cloth then leave to dry naturally (We just drape ours over a clothes airier or the back of a chair etc.) If subjected to sea water rinse as soon as possible to remove salt and sand and dry metal buckles thoroughly with a cloth then leave to dry naturally. ALWAYS remove wet collars as a wet collar can irritate and promote scratching, allow to air dry then place the collar back onto the dog when dry.

Returning an item to Celtic Collar Company.If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us within 14 daysfor a refund or exchange, the item must be in an unused condition.Unless the item is faulty, you will be responsible for the cost of return postage and resending .

That being said, there are some limitations as we cannot anticipate the wear a collar will be put through, the guarantee does not extend to the loss of shine or scratching to the surface of any metal hardware, or fabric destroyed by constant scratching/chewing but any repair resulting from a hardware failure will be taken care of. Celtic Collars are designed to be strong and durable, but that being said they should not be used in unsuitable situations. Care should be taken with larger dogs or those that are excessive pullers, biters ,scratchers or dogs that plough through thorn bushes in pursuit of game as it may cause damage to the collar. It is up to you the purchaser to determine what size and type of collar is suitable for your dog.

It is highly recommended you measure your dogs neck to ensure an accurate and comfortable fit. Celtic Collar Company can not be held responsible for inaccurate sizing. It is also advisable to check the fitting of your pets collar regularly as neck measurements may change.

Measuring Measure your pet by one of the following methods: Use a dress makers tape measure placed around the pets neck, or use a piece of string or similar if you do not have a dress makers tape & measure the length against a ruler. Always add 2 cm for a comfortable fit All Celtic Collars are adjustable , your dogs measurement should fall somewhere in the middle of the smallest and largest adjustment stated with each size so that you can adjust up and down. As with all collars, check for wear and tear regularly and replace when appropriate. Celtic Collar Company cannot be held responsible for any incidents or accidents as a result of incorrect fitting. Please note a loud click must be heard when closing a side release buckle.

Hardware The purchaser is responsible for selecting the hardware most suitable for their pet. The collars on sale have high quality acetal and metal side release buckles, tri-glides and welded D rings

It is the purchasers/owners responsibility to assess the suitability of using these products with their dogs. Please be aware that the metal hardware is heavier than the acetal hardware and may not be suitable for really tiny pets. Metal hardware can also make a noise during movement, especially if a metal tag is tapping against it. If the pet is likely to be nervous or reactive to noise, please select acetal hardware. Collars can be returned to be exchanged for different hardware (subject to availability) but the extra postal charges will be incurred by the customer.
