The Moccasins are made to be custom-fitted. That means for that the most important measurement of your feet for me is the width and not the length. No matter if your feet are very large and short of the opposite, or even if one foot is bigger than the other, with my patterns, you will be able to get a very good fit, no matter what. For moccasins made-to-order, I have 3 or 4 different sizes, according to the width of your feet. S, M, L and XL. Please contact me if you are interested and would like some help in choosing the appropriate shoes for you. I will send you a document to explain how you should take measurements of your feet for that I can fit them exactly to your size.

Moccasins can last for years if not decades if well taken care of with regular leather treatment and resoling. They are water resistant and the leather that I use and sale is treated to better resist stains. The moccasins are made at first without soles and can be worn several months like this. None less, they will need to be resoled 1 to 4 times a year if used outdoors. As soon as we can see the footprint under the shoe, we can make soles on them. I advise leather soles but thin rubber can also be used. Extra leather for soles is available on my shop. I usually just glue the soles on. The complete instructions about how to make the soles are included in the video tutorials or available for purchase. Don't worry, it is an easy task.

CHARACTERISTICS:

It is full-grain aniline leather characterized by its soft and waxy touch with a natural finish (no acrylic lining). It is dyed in the mass, colors are very stable.

After tanning, it has not undergone any other alteration in order to preserve the authenticity and the strength of its natural grain. It is the most noble treatment that can be applied to a skin. It has a thickness of 1.8 - 2 mm / 5oz.

Furthermore, it is treated for better stain and water resistance and complies to very high standards in terms of health and environmental regulations by the European law.

Note: These skins are classified as 2nd choice from the tannery, but they usually have very little defects. It could be slight irregularities in the color, minor scratches, or little spots. For the purpose of moccasin-making, it is very easy to work around these minor imperfections.
