Handmade quarter sawn white oak small storage cabinet with hand cut dovetail,through, wedged mortice & tennon joinery with Claro Walnut pulls and inlaid banding. Recycled lumber from a 1920s era dresser made by my wife's grandfather. These beautiful quarter sawn white oak boards were used as drawer sides! They been re-sawn, book matched and hand planed so all the show surfaces display the beautiful, shimmering grain pattern. The simple shape allows the beauty of the woods to take center stage. Drawers have curved Claro Walnut pulls internal dimensions that will accommodate 8.5 x 11 paper/objects. Hand cut dovetails that joined the carcass are progressively symmetrical in size and spacing – something they can't be done by machine. Finish is hand rubbed, French polish shellac.
