Vintage 1950s black cocktail dress. This dress has a straight skirt with a lace bodice. The bodice is a lace of sheer underlining over an off white lining and has short sleeves. The waist is accented with a ruched band. Straight skirt is lined and appears to have been lengthened to its fullest extent at some point with an added wide binding. There are no labels, please see measurements below to determine fit.
Fair condition - The lace has numerous places where the mesh has separated making holes. With patience and careful stitching those can be repaired. There is one area where a portion of the lace has faded. The slit at center back needs some repair to the facings where stitching has come loose. There are 2 light spots - one at the top of the back slit and a smaller one near the hem at center front. There are also a handful of small holes on the back right hip area. None of these issues make the piece unwearable as a costume piece or similar with or without repair being done.
Measurements - please note these are garment measurements and you should allow for wearing ease between garment and body measurements.
