I was reading #psalm28 to remind my soul that God was my defender when verses 6-7 jumped out at me. Right in the middle of King David declaring God is his strength and shield, the turn of the phrase, “I am helped,” caught my attention.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song, I give thanks to him.”
Did you see it? I am helped. But what if we read it as I AM (the name God called himself when Moses encountered him at the burning bush) Helped?
When I read it that way, Not only helped am I but I AM is my help! So I did this piece.
