Watches are crafted from slow growing trees in Western Montana. Each year a tree produces one annual growth ring. The origin year of the tree, i.e., the year that the tree was a tiny seedling, is engraved in the center of the watch. For example, a tree marked 1972 has 50 annual rings and was a tiny seedling in 1972.

A gift for 50 years that is certain to be cherished! We found a small tree that was established in 1975, and created this stunning watch using a thin slice from the tree. Each of the 50 annual rings represents one year of the tree's life. In the words of Herman Hesse "one can read its whole history in the luminous inscribed disk of its trunk: in the rings of its years, its scars, all the struggle, all the suffering, all the sickness, all the happiness and prosperity stand truly written, the narrow years and the luxurious years, the attacks withstood, the storms endured."

The origin year of the chronology, 1974, can be marked near the center of the tree. This year represents when the tree was small seedling. A slice of a tree is a snapshot of its life history. As such, every tree is unique and will vary in appearance. Hand crafted in the Big Sky Country of Montana.

Underneath each wood dial sits the highest quality Seiko Mecha-Quartz Movement. The watch is enclosed by a waterproof stainless steel case and a sapphire crystal.
