As Orthodox Christians, we typically have many sacred and sanctified objects that we have collected and received as gifts from our friends: icons, crosses, flasks with blessing oil, items from the Holy Land, candles, prayer ropes, prosphora, and antidoron, just to name a few. Although we love to have and see them around, wouldn’t it be great to have a special box to store all these precious items in one place?
We thought about this too and that is why this box was created!
This box is made of Canadian Western Red Cedar wood and has an Orthodox Cross inlay made of olive wood harvested in Bethlehem.
It has an antique brass latch and hinges.
But that’s not all. We wanted to use this product as an opportunity to teach you about important virtues – godliness (piety) and devoutness:
• What does it mean to be pious and devout?
• Is there a difference between these two words?
• Where do we see these virtues mentioned in the Bible?
• How can one learn to become a devout and pious person?
• What do Orthodox Saints tell us about these virtues?
Answering these questions is the main reason this educational set was created.

We used Canadian red cedar wood to build this toy. This wood is well-known as one of the most beautiful, durable and fragrant wood species in Canada. Cedar’s aroma comes from a naturally occurring compound (Thujaplicins) in its heartwood. This compound kills fungi and preserves the wood. This is why people like to use this wood for fences, decks, boats, canoes, carving and craft work.

Our goal is to teach children and their parents about Orthodox faith, about our church traditions. We have so many Protestant converts coming to Orthodox Church. They have very limited knowledge of the Most Holy Theotokos. This is the reason we have created this set. We believe that teaching people through hands-on lessons works best. They can learn about the life of the Holy Theotokos, spiritual lessons from her life, how to pray to her, and why we are praying to her. Decorating an icon with beautiful Bohemian crystals is an amazing experience. We hope our customers will like it.

There are so many crystals available on the market, but we wanted to use the best, yet affordable for our customers.
