How do I need to care for my tags?

If the black letters fade at all, just fill them in with a sharpie and wipe away with a little rubbing alcohol on a paper towel. Don't worry, the sharpie will stick to the grooves of the design or letters. To refresh nickel tags, you can use soap and water. To clean the brass tags, you can use an off the shelf brass polish or there are many household items you can use like ketchup, lemon and salt, or lemon and baking soda. Just let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour and polish off.

Please understand that once we drop off and ship your package with USPS, that we are not responsible for any delayed or lost packages upon delivery as this is out of our control. If you believe your package is lost, please refer to www.missingmail.usps.com in order to file a USPS Missing Mail form on your package. If an order is considered lost by USPS, then we will gladly either re-make the tag for you and get it out ASAP or refund your order.

1” tags are great for small to medium sized dogs. 1.25” tags are great for medium to large sized dogs, but some of our smaller dogs do love the size of a larger tag on their pet (just know it will look larger compared to their size when wearing)!

Unfortunately I am not responsible for any lost or damaged tags once they are placed onto your pet. If for any reason your tag arrives damaged, please reach out to us ASAP so we can work with you to replace it! Please inspect split rings often - if they get snagged on anything as your pet plays, they may become stretched out or open up!

Which material should I buy for my pet?

Our tags are made of either Nickel Silver or Brass. Brass is more prone to tarnishing due to the nature of that metal makeup, and over time will develop a beautiful patina and overall darkening in golden color. Any tarnish that develops can be easily removed with steel wool or even ketchup. If you have a very active pet who enjoys water, we recommend our silver tags as they hold up well to the elements and are very easy to clean.

The perfect simple tag for your pet!

I stamp each tag by hand using various metal stamps and a hammer (that's right - no machines!), so slight variations will occur. I do use tape to help line things up and keep them straight, but the special part is that means your tag will be ONE OF A KIND!!! No two tags are exactly the same, but the same amount of love goes into every single one - just think of this as adding a little more character to your tag :).

The stamps are a set size, so the scale of the design will vary depending on the size & shape of the tag you choose.

Tags are made out of nickel (silver color) & brass (gold color) because of their durability and not being prone to tarnish - perfect for any pet, even the more adventurous ones who love being outdoors! All tags will come with one 12mm split ring.

All stamping blanks are purchased by metal fabricators in the US!
