Can you cut my logo/design out of metal?

Plasma has a hard time with small and detailed designs. The only way to tell if your logo or design is possible is to send me an artwork file and the dimensions. I need both pieces of info to tell you what is possible. If you like a design but want something tweaked, changed, or added, let me know and I can work up a unique piece for you. My custom work is priced by the size and finish selected. Send me a message and I will set up a Custom Listing just for you.

I currently offer a RAW STEEL finish as standard on all signs. Left untreated the sign will rust and develop a natural patina completely unique to your environment. Due to the nature of raw steel, each piece will vary in look, giving you a unique piece. The INDOOR FLAT CLEAR coat is the best option if you like the look of the raw steel. It is an oil based clear coat that will hold up well inside and is easy to clean. This finish leaves the steel a few shades darker, sometimes even black. A UV protected SILVER, GLOSS CLEAR or FLAT BLACK powder coat will protect the steel in the toughest conditions including outside in wet and salty environments. Powder coat is a thick industrial coating that is VOC free and holds up for many years.

Custom and personalized orders

Purchasing a Custom Listing indicates proof approval by the customer unless otherwise noted. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the proof is correct in all areas (spelling, grammar, layout, etc). If a proof containing errors is purchased, the customer is responsible for repurchasing. If you need to request a change to your personalized text, this needs to be completed within 2 hours of purchase. If you have purchased a sign and I need to send you a proof before beginning work, if I have not heard from you in 2 weeks, I will cancel and refund the order. The designs for our signs are all made by Maker Table and we have the right to use that design as a product example on our Etsy shop and website, or for future sales.

Why choose Maker Table?

Maker Table is about more than metal. I want to help you create something special for your unique space using your inspiration, ideas, and ideology through art. Each piece is balanced between your wants, my technology, and an overarching desire to deliver on an expectation. I'm a real person that cares about everything that I MAKE. Where are you going to get that in the 21st century?

Your sign will be cut out using a homemade CNC plasma table that will cut out the design precisely with a plasma torch operating at 50,000 degrees. Once your sign cools, I will start the finishing process to remove any unwanted slag and sharp edges. The product, once completed, is a raw steel sign perfect for your antique finish, paint or natural rust.

Finish note: raw steel is a highly recyclable material, reused over and over, so the finish and color vary from piece to piece - sometimes even black. Yours comes from our local mill and may be darker or lighter than our photos depending on that day's recycled material, which makes every piece unique. Left untreated, raw steel will rust and develop a natural patina unique to your environment.

RAW STEEL - DARK (EVEN BLACK) - Left untreated, the RAW STEEL WILL RUST and develop a natural patina completely unique to your environment. Your raw steel finish is created at our local mill and can be darker or lighter than our pictures depending on what material is being recycled that day.

INDOOR FLAT CLEAR -DARK (EVEN BLACK) - The Indoor Flat Clear finish is an oil-based matte clear coat that makes the steel darker, sometimes even black. This finish will hold up well inside and is easy to clean. This finish can be darker or lighter than our pictures depending on the recycled steel we use that day.

OUTDOOR SILVER - The Outdoor Silver finish is a bright silver powder coat with a slight sparkle. This UV protected finish will protect the steel in the toughest conditions including outside in wet and salty environments. Powder coat is a thick industrial coating that is VOC free and holds up for many years.

OUTDOOR FLAT BLACK - The Outdoor Flat Black finish is a matte black powder coat. This UV protected finish will protect the steel in the toughest conditions including outside in wet and salty environments. Powder coat is a thick industrial coating that is VOC free and holds up for many years.

ALUMINUM - The Aluminum finish is the best option if you want the look of shiny metal or stainless steel on a budget. This finish is rust-proof and weather-proof (great for marine environments) and is lightweight. Aluminum is also a soft metal and scratches easily, so please be careful when opening your package.

ALUMINUM POWDER (GLOSS CLEAR, FLAT BLACK, GLOSS WHITE, GLOSS RED) - The Aluminum powder coat finishes will help protect the material from chips and scratches and gives you more color options. These UV protected finishes will protect the Aluminum in the toughest conditions and help prevent oxidation over time.

GALVANIZED - Galvanized refers to a process in which steel is coated with a layer of zinc to protect it from corrosion. The appearance of galvanized metal is characterized by a shiny, silver-gray surface. The coating gives the material a distinct metallic luster. Over time, the zinc coating may develop a matte gray patina as it weathers, but the initial appearance is typically bright and reflective.
