This chicken leg cat toy was first hand-knit with wool then felted for durability and anti-snag-ability. Then stuffed. When I say stuffed I mean packed solid with a very generous amount of catnip, catnip with valerian, or wool. I do not use polyfil. Whatever option you choose, rest assured, it is the only thing besides wool yarn that makes up your toy. These toys are hand-knit without seams to help avoid splitting or damage during play. Seriously made to last. Made ram tough! cause you know...ram = wool....🤭
Cat kicker style toys cater to a cat's natural instincts of grabbing and kicking (instead of your ankle 🦵) which serve as defense mechanisms and hunting tactics. Even though domestic cats may not need to utilize these skills, engaging in such play allows them to release excess energy and gain mental stimulation, reflecting their primal instincts and enhancing their overall well-being.
Stuffed just prior to shipping. One boneless leg-o-chicken per order. Paw lickin' good!
***If your cat does not like catnip but does like wool, your chicken drumstick can be stuffed with raw wool fleece only. ***Or if you want a mixture of catnip and valerian, aka a stink toy, that option (my clowder's favorite) is available as well. Be warned, valerian root does have a strong, pungent odor that cats love but some humans may recoil from.
***And, from the HumaneSociety.org about Catnip: "Nepetalactone, the essential oil in catnip, can turn even the laziest couch potato into a crazy furball—if said furball happens to have inherited the sensitivity to its effects. The trait doesn't emerge until a cat is between THREE and SIX MONTHS OLD; until then, a kitten will not have a response.”
These hand-knit felted wool drumsticks make great gifts for friends cats, grandcats, and cousin cats. Niece cats, nephew cats, and sister cats...that would be your mom's cat that is a girl, or of course the cool brother cat if your dad's cat is a boy. 🤔You know what I mean, maybe. 😊
