For the first month of actual use, avoid taking the handbag out in wet weather. This should give the fibers sufficient time to become more flexible and therefore less likely to react with water.
All of the hardware on our bags is made from brass.

This is a beautiful bag! Shipping was very fast. Well packaged and looks like it will be everything I wanted for a work bag. A little bigger than I thought but just hard to gauge that size from measurements, the measurments are correct, and I think I'll be glad of the extra room. No complaints, love the bag and would definitely purchase from this shop again!
