“Isang Bagsak” — Larry Itliong

Honor the legacy of Filipino American labor organizer and civil rights activist Larry Itliong with this colorful illustrated portrait celebrating his role in the farmworker movement and the fight for workers' rights. A meaningful piece of labor rights wall art for a classroom, school library, office, or home, this printable poster makes a thoughtful gift for teachers, educators, activists, Filipino Americans, and anyone interested in labor and civil rights.

Larry Itliong spent decades organizing farm and cannery workers and became a key leader in the Filipino American labor movement. In 1965, he helped lead Filipino farmworkers in the Delano grape strike, later joining forces with César Chávez and other organizers in the movement that became the United Farm Workers.

ABOUT THE ART

Each portrait in my collection is drawn and illustrated by hand using a combination of digital illustration and hand lettering. I create these pieces to celebrate people whose words, work, and lives have made an impact on the world in hopes to educate and inspire.
