This item was exactly as I expected except for one small thing. The quality is excellent. It looks exactly as it's shown in the picture. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I thought it was more of a brighter turquoise (what color I use in small amounts in my kitchen); to my eye in person this is a more subdued blue, almost a dusty blue. But when I went back and looked at the pictures I realized they accurately depict the color and it was the word "turquoise" that had me expecting something brighter and more intense. Describing color can be very subjective and I don't fault the seller at all, I can see why they called it turquoise. I really like the canister, was really happy with the way it was packaged, and I will enjoy it for many years!

I always try to make sure descriptions are as accurate as possible and take extra care in packaging so these vintage "treasures" arrive safely and as expected. Shipped securely and promptly, but made in China components don’t fit together very well. I thought the item was vintage from Ireland.
