So funny story- I had been finding patterns of this type scattered throughout 1830s and 40s knitting manuals and could not for the life of me figure out how the stitches in the pattern were supposed to add up to make a viable shawl. This pattern pack was very helpful in explaining things a bit more clearly and making what I was seeing make sense. I like that it goes over multiple variations of this pattern as it appears in a few different publications. Well worth it, and now I actually have a nice shawl instead of a strange mess!
