There may be a tiny bit of seam stress, and a little loose strands of thread coming from the beading. No bead loss. I am accounting for these in the price, as I need new glasses to fix the tiny stuff...

The floral beaded design is all in black and clear glass beads. The clear come off as silvery, with the black fabric behind. Padded and seamless (dolman) shoulders with cap-length sleeves. The pleats adds a ton of volume from the sleek, wide waistband to the flowing mid-calf length skirt. There is a lot of understatement in the elegance of this classic 40s cocktail dress!

Shown on my backless half-form, as I cannot fit side opening garments onto my regular form.

Measurements are of the actual garment, not of a body. When possible to estimate, we will give "best fit" measurements. It is always recommended to have your measurements taken by an experienced tailor. To compare your own garment to that of the shown vintage, do NOT stretch, many older vintage garments have very little stretch or wiggle room. If you are particularly tall or petite, you may want to write for different ratio measurements. I base the ratios of my measurements on my own "average" size, 5'4". When possible, I try on a garment to check where certain hit spots are - such as an under bust on an originally juniors item may be narrower than an average woman's rib cage or under bust, or the shoulder seam placement, as that varies from era to era. Someone who is taller or knows that their torso is longer (or has a fuller bosom) may want to check the shoulder to waist ratio, which is not commonly added.
