I give my paintings names that remind me of my Jamaican culture and African heritage so I called this painting Dulcimina. As a child I used to listen to a story on the radio about a young lady who came to the city from the country to work with a family and got into all levels of exciting misadventures. This was Dulcimina and I looked forward to each week's episode. The pearl necklace is a tribute to Kamala Harris, our first Black Woman VP, whose father is Jamaican.
