One JEWELRY CASKET Vitrine, Rare....
These were the ideal French souvenir in 1800's and early 1900's, and usually featured famous monuments. Fully functional as a ring, watch or necklace storage box as well as a great presentation box for a jewelry gift, such as engagement or wedding. The bevels in the crystal cause lots of white glare and reflection (sorry) and so does the abalone--these are not cracks.
I am happy to answer any questions, just convo me!!
Starting from the top, the pink 6-sided box says St-Servan-sur-Mer (it's in Brittany) and is about 4 inches long and in pretty good condition; the next one, clockwise, is square, and it says Calais; the next one, on the far right, says Anvers, which is Antwerp in English, and it is rectangular; the next one, near the center and square, is Beziers; then, all the way at the bottom, Reims Cathedral; the oval is La Panne; the last one, on the left, is Montauban.
