What can your SVG files be used for?

License includes personal and small business commercial use for physical items. This license includes craft items like signs, keychains, earrings, etc. Blanks or DIY kits are fine. License does NOT include mass-produced commercial use or print on demand items or stickers. Please message me with any questions. File may NOT be altered and resold in any digital manner.

Can I crop your patterns to different shapes?

Yes, but how you do it depends on the file and your program. The engraving designs can easily be cropped using the pathfinder/boolean commands in any design program, because they are closed shapes. The scoring files are a little trickier, but it is possible to do. Lightburn has a cut to shape function that works great. In Illustrator, you can use the "outline" pathfinder function (but it does require some clean up). The easiest method in my opinion is to ungroup and rearrange the icons so they fit on the shape you need. You can always message me if you have questions about a specific design or shape!

How do I unzip my compressed/zip folder to download my files? MAC VERSION

With Mac: If you have saved a .zip file in the Finder, double-click it to open. After opening it, you can view some or all of the contents by highlighting the files and pressing Command+Y. 1. Click the Unzip button. 2. From the drop down menu, choose to unzip your files to this Mac, iCloud Drive, Dropbox or Google Drive. 3. A "Finder style" window will open. You can browse to the folder where you want the files saved. 4. Choose to unzip the Entire Zip file or Selected Items. You may also choose to Show unzipped items in the Finder. 5. Another option is to click the New Folder button. Then type the file name and click Create.

Locate the zipped folder that you want to unzip (extract) files or folders from. Do one of the following: 1. To unzip a single file or folder, open the zipped folder, then drag the file or folder from the zipped folder to a new location. 2. To unzip all the contents of the zipped folder, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

How do I read your SVG files?

For my files, I always do red stroke for cut lines, blue stroke for score lines, and purple fill for engrave. Occasionally a green stroke will be a second cut or score function, but I will note this in the file. These files are ready to go and should be fine to just upload right into your laser program, but as always please reach out if you have any questions!! LIGHTBURN USERS- we recommend using the included pdf file to be sure everything has imported at the right size. If you have questions, let me know! Adobe Illustrator has discontinued the use of SVG 1.0, so files purchased prior to this may run into this issue. We recommend using the included PDF or sending us a message for updated files!

Do your files work with CNC, Cricut, or Silhouette machines?

At this time, all of our SVG files are intended to be used with laser cutters and have not been tested on any other type of machine. I do not recommend using these with other machines, but if you absolutely must - please be sure you understand how to edit SVG files to optimize them for the specific machine you are using.

We do not use AI (artificial intelligence) for any part of our process, as we respect the artistic process and want to create ethically, support human artists, and not harm our environment. We do use Adobe Illustrator, so if you see "AI" listed anywhere - that is what it is short for - just want to clarify.
