What is a Digital Download?

Digital Downloads are files that are sent to you after purchasing. They can be opened on your computer and most devices.

Why don’t you sell physical items?

My store is a Digital Download Store. I am a graphic designer and sending a hard copy of something that can easily be printed is not ethical. Digital Downloads are also extremely convenient and are delivered instantly.

You will find your purchase in your download history on your Etsy account. If you purchased it as a guest it will be in an email. Please also check your junk mail folder before messaging me.

I downloaded the file and it’s not what I wanted can I have a refund?

I’m happy to issue a refund if the file has not been downloaded. However once you download the file it’s your property and there is no way for me to know how many people it has been distributed to. It’s a very common scam for a dishonest person to claim they haven’t kept a file and this hurts my business and trust in others.

Why should I purchase your work if it’s easily obtainable on Google?

The simple answer to this is the quality you receive from my files is way higher than any JPG/PNG image found freely online. Take into consideration the compression quality of image files online, most are uploaded at 72 dpi Web Lossless which will pixelate at higher resolution. Many of my props were also completed from scratch in Adobe Illustrator and contain vector information that can’t be rivalled by any image format.

My Item hasn’t arrived in the post?

I don’t post physical items I’m a Digital Download shop, hence the title Printable Things. Please do not message me, report or leave bad feedback because you didn’t read all the info provided. Etsy are very aware that Digital Downloads are sold on here and will not pursue the complaint if all the evidence is presented to them.

Someone else is selling your work how can I help?

If you see anyone selling my work on here or any other site, contact me immediately! Art theft is illegal and all of my items are protected by a Creative Commons Non Commercial Licence. I actively take legal action and have the right representation to do so.

Do you make everything in your shop?

Every item in my shop was created by me in one way or another. I’ll break it down into sections because I make a lot of things. 3D print files My 3D print files are created by myself in 3D Studio Max. I’m a product designer and very fluent in this software. If an image looks familiar to something you’ve seen online that’s because it is a replica, created to match what you see on screen (screen accurate) Digital Files My digital files are all created in Photoshop and Illustrator and most contain vector information that can be printed on a large format printer.

Can I sell a file once purchased?

No you cannot sell my work in digital or physical form. I don’t create my files so that others can profit. They are protected by a Creative Commons Non Commercial license. More here www.creativecommons.com Selling my files without my consent is illegal and not good business practice. I will take legal action if necessary.

I’ve made my own version of something you sell can I sell it?

Of course. If you created your own replica from scratch, share it. I’m not here to take over the prop replica industry, I’m here to inspire others. I actively support other prop makers and in some instances have even promoted them on my social media.

On offer here is my papercraft art of The Lost Boys Milk Carton as featured in the movie. I had so many requests to make this but due to the increase in custom orders this year, I put it on hold.

The original prop carton featured a Potlatch container. Both Carnation Dairies and Potlatch collaborated during the Missing Children campaign back in 1985. Although successful, the campaign was cancelled in the late 80’s - early 90’s when the Amber Alert was introduced.

To create this I used my trusty vector milk carton template and several screenshots for reference. The artwork was all drawn from scratch in illustrator and the photo of Laddie was provided to me by a collector. As the barcode was not seen on screen, I had fun with the digits, look them up on Barcode Spider ;)

Fun Fact! This style of Carnation carton also featured in Heather’s, although it was a One Quart Low Fat A&D. There is also one in the opening scene of Friday but that has been modified due to licensing. I do my research guys, my family call it obsessing, I call it dedication ;)

Simply, print it out, cut, fold and glue to make your prop. It’s super easy and fun to do.
