What's the difference between the two bases?

Both base options offer the same potency and strength of herbal extract. We provide an alcohol and an alcohol-free option to accommodate customers who prefer to avoid alcohol or cannot consume it. Both extracts are equally effective. The alcohol-free base has a slightly thicker consistency and is naturally a bit sweeter than the alcohol base.

Can these herbal tinctures also used topically?

For topical use, we recommend the alcohol-free base, as it is gentler on the skin and helps prevent the dryness or irritation that can sometimes occur with alcohol-based extracts. The alcohol-free base is better suited for direct skin application or for blending into skincare products.

Do these tinctures need to be refrigerated?

Shake well before use. Take about 20-30 drops (1 ml or 1 full squeeze of the dropper bulb), up to 3 times a day or as directed by your practitioner. The best way to use liquid herbal tinctures is to put the suggested amount in a glass of water, tea, or juice and drink the entire contents. Do not drink with any dairy products 30 minutes before and after consumption. Tinctures can also be administered directly into the mouth without the
assistance of water however some tinctures are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.
