This is a fabric patch, a dye sublimation reproduction of my original painting I've entitled "Wake". Dye sublimation is an extremely durable textile printing process which prints dyes onto polyester fabric. I've transferred these prints onto 100% recycled pop bottle polyester using a heat press. I've backed the fabric with Wonder Under, fabric adhesive so that you may iron the patch on and sew the edges easily. These patches are not fully iron on. The adhesive backing is for positioning only and they need to be sewn or pinned in order to stay on whatever item you choose. The patch is totally machine washable and is exceptionally durable. Can be appliqued onto a tee shirt, jacket, bag, hat, pants, wall hanging, altar cloth, quilt....it's up to your imagination.

Hummingbird leaves a wake of color and pattern as he hums toward the heavens. Or perhaps Hummingbird has awakened like a phoenix and he's rising out of the textured earth, renewed, reborn, reawakening.
