CARE

To prolong the life of your new handmade mug, hand-washing is recommended, as with all handmade pottery. Handle with care with the use of microwave.

PROCESS

Each carved mug takes hours and hours of work. It is thrown on the wheel, trimmed and handled. Then carved, fired in the kiln twice for bisque and glaze, painted, sanded, measured, photographed and shipped by ONE person. For a total of 2-4 weeks of process time from start to finish. It is truly handmade!!!

It’s made using stoneware; clay is fired to 2,232 degrees Fahrenheit .

Wheel-thrown and hand glazed in California in a home studio; BNCApottery. Glaze is a combination of commercial, food safe, colors. Again, each piece takes hours of work, especially those that have intricate details.

It’s in its handmade nature that it will not be perfect but that’s the beauty of handmade pottery! Though, I do try to get them to be as close to perfect as I can :)
