Votive candles should always be burned in a proper heat resistant votive holder slightly larger in diameter than the votive itself. Votive candles are meant to burn completely and will not contain their wax pool.
Burn your votive long enough to create a full melt pole across the top of the candle for extinguishing, or your votive will start to tunnel.
We use a 100% pure cotton tabbed wick in these larger sized votive. Through product testing we have found this to be the best wick for this candle. It is made specifically for beeswax tea light and votive candles. Be sure to burn your Votive in a proper glass container for optimum burn. Votives do liquefy as they burn.
What’s in our Candles?
🍃🐝~ 100% pure Beeswax
🍃🐝~ Cotton wick
🍃🐝~ Beeswax Primed Wicking
Our votives come with a metal wick tab. This tab provides a couple things. It helps secure your wicking, so it will not float once the candle has completely liquefied. The neck of the wick tab helps ensure that the flame does not reach the bottom of the candle container, cracking the glass.
Beeswax candles burn brighter, longer, and cleaner than any other candle! The flame emits essentially the same light spectrum as the sun and in the process of burning emits, negative ions that are known to clean the air. 100% natural fuel created by bees is naturally scented by the honey and nectar of flowers packed into the honeycombs and gives off a subtle fragrance as it burns.
100% pure beeswax Votives are intended to fully liquefy so need to be burned in a votive cup.
Over time, bees wax will develop a whitish coating called bloom. This is the result of softer oils rising to the surface. Rubbing the candle with a soft cloth or warming with a hair dryer will remove candle bloom. Once removed, bloom will again reappear on pure beeswax. Bloom has no effect on how your bees wax candle will burn.

This beeswax is harvested right from our own bees. We take our capping once or twice a year from our hives after we harvest the honey, melt it and filter it and process it into blocks, candles or whatever we desire.
