This is a framed India ink and colored pencil painting. The textured gray wood frame measures 12 inches by 12 inches. The frame has a distressed finish with visible texture and wood grain. The piece is protected by a clear acrylic front and a foam-core backing. I've also mounted clean white paper across the back of the framed painting to protect it for years to come. The last photo gives you a sense of how all five paintings would look together in your home or office.

This is the fifth and final piece in a series of five that I just completed. The American Goldfinch is such a magical little bird that brings me great joy in the summer! My hope is to capture the magic of these backyard birds who remind me of bright yellow lemons strewn across the summer sky.

I've painted the edges of the painting to give it a nice polish. The surface is 100% cotton Crescent illustration board that is 1/8" thick.
