How do i put one of your oak mantels on the wall?

Hanging a chorley oak mantel has been designed to be a simple job for anyone with basic tools and some DIY competence. The mantel is supplied with heavy duty recessed keyhole mountings in the back, it simply needs four big wall plugs and screws (supplied) in the wall and dropping on. Fixings and detailed instructions are included and the tools reuired are: Suitable drill with an 8mm masonry bit Spirit level (the longer the better!) Pozidrive screwdriver Small hammer Tape measure Pencil Vacuum cleaner to catch the dust

Can you match an oak Mantel to my existing floor or furniture?

I cannot guarantee an exact match with existing woodwork but, if you would like to provide a photo, i will gladly reccomend a shade that will best complement what you already have.

Can Chorley Oak Mantels be fitted to plasterboard walls?

Yes! Chorley Oak rustic mantles are very heavy and are supplied as standard with masonry fixings. That said, I can provide specialist plasterboard fixings that are more than capable of supporting one of my beams. Please contact me before ordering so we can discuss your type of wall and i can supply appropriate heavy duty hollow wall fixings

This beautiful solid oak tree swing has been carefully designed to look like it's been hanging in the tree for generations, and made to ensure it's hanging there for generations to come!
Measuring approx 70cm wide, 20cm deep, 5cm thick and reinforced with chunky rope-bearers under the ends.
The seat has been carefully hand-shaped for a rustic look before being carefully sanded and brushed to ensure years of splinter-free bums!

The swing is finished in a traditional oil finish that will retain the golden colour for a number of years if maintained. If no further oil is applied the oak will gradually turn silvery grey by the time it gets inherited by the grandkids

Suspended on traditionally hand-spliced 16mm synthetic hemp rope, this has the appearance of natural fibre whilst being kinder to hands and more durable.
Synthetic hemp rope also has the advantage over natural rope that it is safe to be left out in all weather and seasons without any detriment to its strength.

The swing is supplied with heavy duty steel adjusters already fitted, again with a traditional splice.
This means that all of the load bearing rope-tying has been taken care of, there is no ugly knots to tie and no cut ends to fray.

Hanging the swing is a simple case of looping the rope over a suitable branch (or existing wooden swing frame) and clipping the adjuster closed (full instructions provided).

**HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR LENGTH:**
Measure the distance between your tree limb or beam that the swing will be hung on and choose the closest, longer option. The rope will be supplied with 500cm additional length to loop around the branch.
For example if you need 220cm from branch to swing seat, order the 250cm length, you will recieve a swing with 300cm of rope, giving plenty to wrap over the branch and adjust to level.

The height can then be adjusted and levelled easily and quickly.
