Highlights
We're pleased to offer a versatile doll hair reroot tool, suitable for rehairing any doll or My Little Pony! This small, lightweight tool fits easily in your hand and features a comfortable, freely rotating knob to help distribute force. If you prefer a pencil grip, the knob can also be removed with a sharp tug.
Loading needles is easy - simply rotate the lower collar to tighten around the collet and and hold your needle firmly in place. Try to center your needle as much as possible for a secure grip that will prolong the life of your needle. If needed, you can use pliers/foreceps to tighten the collar a little more. Keep the needle length short, no more than 1/2 inch to prevent bending or breaking.
Your reroot tool will come with instructions, plus 3 needles in the size of your choosing. (Unless tool only option with no needles is chosen) Needle sizes are estimates only, your personal preference may vary:
Size #1 to #3 - large dolls greater than 14", very large holes, or torn holes. I also like to keep one of these flipped around in a second reroot tool while I work to help pierce the scalp to create new holes or enlarge smaller holes for my regular rerooting needle.
Size #5 - my workhorse needle, I use this on My Little Ponies, the main scalp areas of Standard 11.5" Fasion Dolls, Monster High, Rainbow High, Bratz, Ever After High Dolls, OMG LOL girls and most other fashion dolls
Size #7 - the detail needle I use for the part line and circumference or clusters of other small sized holes on the dolls listed above, can also be used for smaller 1/6th scale dolls
Size #9 to #10 - for reborn/silicone dolls or very fine detail work on delicate dolls to prevent tearing of the scalp
