What are your payment options?

1)We accept Etsy Payments via Etsy Checkouts. You will need a Credit card or paypal to be able to check out here. 2) Klarna is now available on Etsy and based on credit score check, customers can pay for their dress in monthly installments 3)We do offer 50% downpayment options, but this is only available via our website. 3)Customers based in the US also have the option of applying to interest-free monthly payments with our payment partner, Paypal on our website. This will be discussed with the customer if it's something that would be considered. NOTE- For all custom orders, after discussing the design with the bride, a private custom listing would be sent out on ETSY.

Do you have a Brick & Mortar Bridal Boutique ?

Brides & Tailor is mostly an Ecommerce small business so the entire process can be done online from A-Z. We work with brides all over the US and we are not a traditional boutique where customers can shop off the rack. After the dress is finished, it is shipped directly to the bride. Final fittings with our local seamstress in Canton, Michigan can be arranged for local Michigan brides after the dress is finished. Brides can also book bridal consultations by visiting our website.

How do I make sure I get the same design I requested?

From the beginning of the process, we make sure we are transparent with our brides all through the way. After we receive inspirational photos or sketches of the design that the bride wants, we first make sure that the material is available and that the end result of the dress would be at least 80% similar to the end result that the bride has in mind. We only use the inspirational photos to understand the overall concept the bride is looking for. WE DO NOT COPY DESIGNER GOWNS. We only use high quality material for all of our gowns. Throughout the process, we keep the customer updated about the process and we share the photos of the gown with the customer before shipping!

What if the custom wedding dress is not in my size?

Brides & Tailor’s objective is to provide brides with the dream wedding dress that they want in the size that fits them. The customer has the option of entering standard measurements for checking out. However, after checking out, the bride will be receiving our detailed step by step measurements guide and wil be asked to get measured at a local/seamstress in her area. After she sends us her measurements, we replicate these on a mannequin to ensure they look rational. If any of the measurements looks concerning, we will contact the customer back/ ask her to double check. The measurements are pretty straight-forward and the bride will need to go through the guided photos before visiting any seamstress to ensure they're being taken correcty.

Can I choose any color for my dress?

Absolutely yes! We are here to open up all the options for the bride who does not want to choose a traditional white wedding dress. We have many color charts available depending on the material so we do not have them posted on the website since there are so many catalogues. Contact us if you have specific color preference and we'll make sure we have it before you order.

Are there extra fees for Plus Size Wedding Dresses?

Creating a wedding gown is a highly detailed process, and every dress is custom-made to fit your unique measurements. For plus-size gowns, additional high-quality fabric, lace, and lining are required, along with more intricate tailoring to ensure the perfect fit, comfort, and structure. These elements involve extra materials, labor, and time from our skilled team, which is why a Plus Size Fee applies. Our goal is to ensure that every bride—regardless of size—receives a gown that is beautifully crafted, comfortable to wear, and made with the same exceptional attention to detail. How long do I need to receive my wedding dress?

Brides & Tailor has a team of dedicated and contracted professional haute couture and bridal designers and tailors-local and international so we are able to provide our customers with fast turn-over without impacting the quality and the techniques used on all our bridal gowns. You do not need to wait 9-12 months for your bridal gown to be finished, because it can be finished in as quickly as 12 weeks! Our processing times are 12-14 weeks on average and most of our brides order their gowns at least 8 months before the wedding. Our custom gowns pass through a rigorous quality inspection process after they are finished so this is why it is always preferable for our brides to avoid last minute dress orders and to plan making their order in adv

How will I receive my wedding dress?

We ship our bridal gowns using Fedex Home Delivery and USPS Priority Mail for tracked and quick shipping. The dress will be folded carefully to make sure the beading and all the work is kept protected, and it will be placed in our Dust-Proof High Quality Garment Bag to keep the dress clean and neat inside the thick and reliable packaging box. All packages must be signed for. Couriers cannot leave the packages outside at the porch/ front area.

Can you ask for amendments after receiving the dress?

As with any custom wedding dress, some minor alterations might be necessary for the bride. If you visit the bridal salon in Michigan, have your final fitting service with us , and realize there are a few tweaks that need to be made for the dress to fit perfectly, we will gladly take care of that for you. Brides who get their gowns shipped usually do not need any amendments for the dresses since they are custom made in their own size, so if there are minor changes needed like removing minor inches, any local tailor can help with that. We do not cover the cost of alterations. If the dress needs extra fabric/material for minor changes, we will gladly help the bride with that.

Absolutely stunning dress! Customer service was beyond words! I have nothing but good things to say. When I was searching for my wedding dress originally I planned on going with an all black long gothic style dress. Knowing my area wouldn’t have too many of them I remembered Etsy! I found this wonderful store and seen the pops of color in the dresses and I was sold! Our colors are black gray/silver and purple and this dress is everything I could imagine! The details are beautiful! Communication was perfect when it came to sizing, what I was looking for, changes and all. Shipping was very fast. The whole process from start to finish was very quick and efficient especially being a customized item. Thank you so much and I can wait to wear this dress on my wedding day!

This dress is for my wedding in October, and it is everything! The pictures don't do it justice. Customer service was outstanding!
