*** I do not ship with any heat packs. If you live in a climate where temperatures dip below freezing please keep that in mind when ordering. Your plants may arrive dormant or cold damaged.
Helianthus 'Lemon Queen' is a perennial sunflower for zones 4-10. Plants are tall and upright, forming a bushy clump of green leaves, topped with branching masses of 2-3" wide lemon yellow daisies in later summer and fall. Flowering continues for 6-8 weeks attracting bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Seeds follow, attracting songbirds. Given its height and sun-loving nature, this is an excellent backdrop for shorter perennials. Excellent as a cut flower. Establishes readily in almost any soil but performs best in average soil with minimum water. Specimens gradually clump out over time. Prune stems to near ground level in Winter to refresh plants.
Light requirements: Full sun
Water requirements: Low once established
Zones: 4 - 10
Height: 6ft
Width: 3ft
Qualities: Tall back drop to garden, good cut flower, butterfly/bee/hummingbird attractor, songbird attractor, drought tolerant.
This is a fully rooted 4.5" pot.
If you purchase more than one item from my shop I do combine ship. Once I ship out your items I will reimburse you the difference in shipping fees.
I ship on Mondays (or Tuesday if Monday falls on a holiday) to ensure your plant will arrive to you in the fastest amount of time. I do my best to package plants so that they will arrive healthy. If you have any problems with your plant upon arrival please let me know.
Shipping is priority mail through USPS.
Sometimes I may need to prune a few leaves so that they are not crushed in the box during shipping. In such a case they will quickly leaf back out through the terminal stems.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
